Allen Reiser (* 1952 ) is a Canadian pianist and music teacher.

Reiser studied piano with Peter Katin in England and Robin Wood and Mary Hughs Fenwick in Canada. He also studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and the Banff School of Fine Arts and received a gold medal from the Toronto Conservatory of Music . He teaches at the Mount Royal College Conservatory in Calgary, which awarded him the Distinguished Faculty / Teaching Award in 1992 . He also gives summer courses and a. as part of the Cranbrook Summer Music School and the Victoria's Piano Summer Music School .

As a soloist Reiser has performed with the symphony orchestras of Calgary, Victoria and Montreal and others and has been a guest at international festivals such as the Calgary International Organ Festival & Competition , the Gina Bachauer International Piano Festival in Salt Lake City and the Canada House Recital Series in England.

His A Canadian Piano Album , which contains a collection of compositions by contemporary Canadian composers used for teaching, was nominated for the 2001 Prairie Music Award in the "Excellent Classical Recording" category. In 2005 the album Sonatinas and Little Sonatas was released , which combines sonatinas and small sonatas by Clementi , Kuhlau , Haydn , Mozart , Beethoven and Johann Christian Bach .
