Almas Nässireddenuly Chamsajew ( Kazakh Алмаз Нәсіредденұлы Хамзаев , Russian Алмаз Насреддинович Хамзаев Almas Nasreddinowitsch Chamsajew * 18th December 1955 in Dzhambul , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh diplomat and Kazakh Ambassador since June 2012 in Belgium . He was previously ambassador to Spain and Italy .

biography

Khamsayev was born on December 18, 1955 in Jambul (now Taras) in the Shambyl region. He graduated from the Foreign Language Teaching Institute in Almaty in 1977 and then served in the Soviet Army. From 1978 Khamsayev worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kazakh SSR. From 1988 to 1990 he studied at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR .

From 1992 to 1996 he was an advisor at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the United States and then an advisor and envoy at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Great Britain . In 1997, Khamsayev was appointed Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan.

In 1998, by decree of the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev , he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Spain and Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the World Tourism Organization .

From November 2004 on, Khamsayev was the ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Italy and part-time also in Greece and Malta as well as permanent representative of Kazakhstan to the food and agricultural organization and since 2009 also in San Marino . On July 9, 2009, however, he was recalled as a part-time ambassador to Greece.

He has been Kazakhstan's ambassador to Belgium since June 8, 2012 .
