Alois Ederer

Alois Ederer (born November 1, 1893 in Cham ; † October 21, 1959 in Regensburg ) was a German composer and author in chess .

Life

By profession Ederer was an independent dealer. He also liked to repair clocks.

As a hobby he composed chess problems, initially mainly auxiliary mattes , later he also devoted himself to fairy tale chess . The exact number of his compositions is not known, as his previous collection disappeared when an apartment was broken into in 1947/48. He has written well over 400 tasks.

Ederer was married.
