Alois Hödl (born October 12, 1962 ) is a former Austrian football player and now coach .
Career
As a player
Hödl played as an active player for TSV Hartberg , TSV Pöllau and SV Anger, among others . In 2009 he ended his career.
As a trainer
Hödl coached the Union Großsteinbach from September 2006 , where he was also active as a player. After the 2007/08 season he left Großsteinbach. In November 2008 he was again the club's coach.
For the 2009/10 season Hödl moved to the second team of the regional division SC Weiz . In the summer of 2010 he became the coach of the sixth class TuS Bad Waltersdorf , with whom he rose to the upper league as a master of the lower division east. In November 2011 he left Bad Waltersdorf. In December 2011 he took over the fourth-class UFC Jennersdorf . After the 2011/12 season he left Burgenland again.
In April 2013 Hödl became the trainer of the fifth class USC Sonnhofen . In October 2013 they separated from Hödl. In September 2014 he became the trainer of the fourth class USV St. Anna . In May 2016, St. Anna separated from Hödl.
From the 2017/18 season, Hödl was again the coach of Weiz's second team, which he coached until October 2017. In November 2017 he took over the fifth-class SV Rohrbach / Lafnitz . For the 2018/19 season he was coach of the regional division SC Weiz. In May 2019 he was replaced by Georg Kaufmann.
For the 2019/20 season, he should have been coach of the second division team Grazer AK . In June 2019, however, the previous team boss David Preiß became head coach again after his coaching license had also been approved for the 2nd division . Hödl nevertheless switched to the GAK and became Preiss's assistant trainer. After Preiß was given leave of absence, he became the interim head coach of Graz in February 2020. After a game as head coach, he was replaced by Gernot Plassnegger .
