Alois Wacker

Alois "Ali" Wacker (born May 7, 1942 in Ratingen ) is a German psychologist and emeritus professor of social psychology at the University of Hanover .

Life

Wacker studied psychology and sociology at the University of Cologne , the TU Berlin and the Ruhr University Bochum . In 1969 he passed the final exam as a qualified psychologist. From 1970 to 1976 he was research assistant at the psychological seminar at the Technical University of Hanover . There he received his doctorate in 1976 and completed his habilitation in 1977. In 1978/79 and 1982/83 he was a deputy professor at the University of Bremen , and since 1981 he has been a professor of social psychology and its methods at the University of Hanover . In 2007 he retired .

Wacker's main interest is in the social psychology of work and unemployment .
