Aloise Kettel , also Aloisia Kettel , née Aloise Höpfner Edle von Brandt , also Aloisia Höpfner Edle von Brendt ( 1803 in Brno - May 25, 1867 in Stuttgart ) was an Austrian theater actress .

Life

Aloise Kettel made her debut in 1825 as "Elsbeth" ( Three Landmarks ) at the Theater an der Wien in Vienna and was then at the Theater in der Josefstadt, in Braunschweig from 1826 to 1829 (initially as a young lover, but since 1826 she was a very strange mother, perhaps unprecedented case), in Stuttgart from 1829 to 1831 (subject of tragic and noble mothers), again in Braunschweig from 1839 to 1841 (comic mother and character roles), in Hanover from 1841 to 1843, for the third time in Braunschweig from 1843 to 1855 and finally engaged in Stuttgart from 1855 to 1865, then renounced artistic activity and died on May 26, 1867 in Stuttgart. Both in the young and in the old subject she was characterized by the natural truth of the game and earned unanimous applause in this and that roles. She also gave dramatic lessons in Stuttgart.

She was married to her fellow actor Johann Georg Kettel since 1832 , with whom she took part in many guest tours.
