Alon Eizenman (born February 9, 1979 in Toronto , Ontario ) is an Israeli - Canadian ice hockey player who played for ASG Tours in the French Ligue Magnus from 1996 to 2007 . His younger brother Oren is also a professional ice hockey player.
Career
Alon Eizenman began his career as a hockey player with the Wexford Raiders, for which he was active in the 1996/97 season in the Metropolitan Toronto Hockey League. The center then spent four years in the American Collegiate Hockey Association , whose championship he won in the 1999/2000 season with Pennsylvania State University . During his university days, the Canadian-Israeli dual citizen received numerous personal awards, including being elected to the ACHA All-American Team, an internal record at Pennsylvania State University in each of his four academic years. After he had spent the 2001/02 season in Israel at HC Bat Yam , the left-handed shooter made his professional ice hockey debut for ASG Tours from the French Ligue Magnus in the 2002/03 season . With this he failed in 2005 only in the playoff final at HC Mulhouse .
In the summer of 2005, Eizenman returned to Israel, where he competed for the Haifa team, the Haifa Hawks . He then played in the 2006/07 season for the French second division club olympique Courbevoie . In the 2013/14 season he was again active for HC Bat Yam in the Israeli ice hockey league. In addition to his ice hockey career, he works as a lawyer in Toronto.
International
For Israel Eizenman took part in the junior division of the U18-D European Championship in 1996 . In the men's area he played at the D-World Championship 2000 , the World Championship of Division II in 2001 , 2002 , 2005 and 2014 as well as the World Championship of Division I in 2006 .
