Aloys Feldmann

Aloys Feldmann (* 25. April 1897 in Körbecke ; † 9. October 1965 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) was a German politician of the CDU .

Aloys Feldmann studied law and political science and had been a member of the Catholic academic student association Unitas -Frankfurt since 1919 . After completing his studies, he worked as an in-house officer and from 1932 full-time mayor of Geseke . Until 1933 he was a member of the Center Party . In 1937 he was dismissed from the office of mayor for “racial” and political reasons and was then a sales representative and paper sack manufacturer.

From 1946 he was again mayor and was one of the founders of the CDU Westfalen-Lippe in 1946/47. Feldmann was the author of the draft of a new municipal code for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia named after him . From 1946 to 1950 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was a member of the German Bundestag from its first election in 1949 to 1957 as a member of the Lippstadt – Brilon constituency , directly elected to parliament.
