The nature reserve Alte Elbe Kathewitz located in Nordsachsen in Saxony . It extends west and south-west of Kathewitz , a district of the municipality of Arzberg , along the west-flowing Elbe . The Old Elbe flows northwest and north through the area, the B 182 runs to the west .
