The ALTENPFLEGE (formerly Altenpflege + ProPflege) is a trade show for manufacturers and service providers in the area of elder care . The event has been held annually since 1990, alternating between the exhibition centers in Nuremberg and Hanover : ALTENPFLEGE is in Nuremberg in all odd years and in Hanover in all even years. The organizer of the trade fair is the Vincentz publishing house . The specialist congress "Future Day ALTENPFLEGE" has been taking place since 2016 at the Altenpflege trade fair.

ALTENPFLEGE's specialist offer ranges from classic care topics to new solutions for all aspects of care and health; including:

Exhibitor and trade visitor numbers

In 2012 the fair in Hanover recorded around 650 exhibitors and 30,000 trade visitors . In 2013, ALTENPLEGE in Nuremberg counted around 31,000 trade visitors and over 630 exhibitors who came to the three-day event. The net exhibition area is over 25,000 square meters. In 2016 around 500 companies exhibited on an area of ​​50,000 square meters.

Supporting program

The three-day trade fair is accompanied by a supporting program of lectures, forums and special shows. The organizer awards the “Innovationspreis Altenpflege” and the “Newcomer Innovationspreis Altenpflege”. Since 2016, parallel to the Altenpflege trade fair, the "ALTENPFLEGE Future Day" has been taking place, at which 70 speakers discussed various topics in the elderly care industry in 65 lectures and workshops. At the opening of Future Day, u. a. Karl-Josef Laumann , Gaby Köster and Rainer Brüderle took part. It was moderated by Carola Ferstl . Future Day partners include a. the Federal Association of Private Providers of Social Services , the German Professional Association for Nursing Professions , the Federal Working Group for Independent Welfare Care and the German Association of Towns and Municipalities .
