Old Jewish Cemetery (Gliwice)
The Old Jewish Cemetery in Gliwice (German Gleiwitz ), a town in the Silesian Voivodeship in Poland , was laid out around 1815. Today there are still around 700 tombstones in the Jewish cemetery .
The deceased Jews from Gleiwitz were initially buried in Jewish cemeteries in the area, such as in Nikolai ( Mikołów ) and Langendorf ( Wielowieś ). The own Jewish cemetery in Gleiwitz has been occupied since 1815. After it was fully occupied, the New Jewish Cemetery in the suburb of Petersdorf ( Szobiszowice ) was available from around 1900 .
