The New Jewish Cemetery in Gliwice is located on Księcia Józefa Poniatowskiego Street in the Zatorze district (German: Stadtwaldviertel). The cemetery is still in use.

The new Jewish cemetery was laid out between 1902 and 1903 in the then Gliwice suburb of Petersdorf (Polish: Szobiszowice ). The cemetery has a size of 1.7 hectares. About 600 tombstones have been preserved in the cemetery .

In 1932 a memorial for 58 fallen Jewish soldiers was erected in the cemetery with Hebrew inscriptions and the inscription “Our comrades”. In 2008 the city of Gliwice acquired the cemetery area from the Jewish community.

In the entrance area of the New Jewish Cemetery is also the imposing Jewish burial hall designed by the Austro-Hungarian architect Max Fleischer from 1903 to 1905.
