The old town hall is an administrative building in Darmstadt-Eberstadt .
Architecture and history
The old town hall is a two-storey, classical building with a gable roof and a tower that was added later . The entrance to the nine-axis structure is via an outside staircase . The plastered facade is structured by simple window frames and a strip of sandstone cornice between the floors.
The town hall used to house the mayor's office , a school with four rooms and a teacher's apartment.
Today the building is the seat of the district administration of Eberstadt.
The old town hall was placed under monument protection as a typical example of the architecture of the 1840s in Darmstadt .
