Amélie van Tass (* 1987 in St. Pölten ), real name Christina Gruber , is an Austrian magician and mentalist .

Life

Amélie van Tass comes from Hofstetten-Grünau in the St. Pölten-Land district and attended the tourism school in St. Pölten. She then completed training in contemporary stage dance in Vienna, which she finished in 2010, and is also a qualified social pedagogue.

As part of the ORF talent show Die Große Chance , she met Thommy Ten in 2011 , who was looking for a stage partner for this performance. Two years later they also became a couple in private. In 2012 they appeared together on the RTL show Das Supertalent . 2014 they became German champion of magic of magic circle of Germany (MZvD) in the category of mental magic , 2,015 were from MZvD as Magician of the Year award. At the World Championships of Magic in Rimini organized by the Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques in 2015, they took first place in the category of mental magic.

In the 11th season of the NBC talent show America's Got Talent they reached second place as The Clairvoyants (German translation Die Hellseher ) in 2016. At the end of 2016 they appeared as the first European magic duo on Broadway in New York City . Also in 2016 they appeared on the TV show The Next Great Magician on ITV . In February 2017 they started a tour through Austria, Germany and Switzerland. In August 2017 they could be seen at the Frequency Music Festival on the "LOL Stage". In 2016 and 2019 they were guests on the Ellen DeGeneres Show .
