Thommy Ten (born June 19, 1987 in St. Pölten as Thomas Höschele ) is a magician and author.

Life

Ten was born in St. Pölten and lives in Krems an der Donau and Munich . At the age of ten he received his first magic book and his first magic box. At the age of twelve he became the youngest member of the magical association Die magische Zehn / Niederösterreich as well as the Magical Ring Austria and the Magical Circle of Germany . Although the admission requirements stipulate a minimum age of 16 for the latter, an exception has been made for him. At the Austrian State Championships in Magic, he managed to get the title of “Austrian Master of Junior Magic” at the age of 13.

Since his training in communication in Vienna , he has worked internationally as a professional magician. He works together with his directors Gaston and Georg Büttel . With his act “Romantic” Ten won the title “Austrian Master in the Inventions Division” in 2010 for his creative and innovative techniques. A year later, with this act, he was also the "German Master of Mental Magic".

He created media presence through his TV appearances on Die Große Chance auf ORF eins . Here he made it to the semifinals. Since 2011 he has also been working with his partner Amélie van Tass.

In 2012 Ten and Amélie van Tass performed their act “feingefühl” on Das Supertalent . In May 2013 they won the overall victory with their act in the preliminary rounds for the German Championship of Magic. After the preliminary decisions, Frank Elstner invited you to his show Menschen der Woche to present this act live.

In 2014 Ten and van Tass played on the cruise ship Norwegian Getaway .

At the 26th World Magic Championships in Rimini (Italy), Thommy Ten and his partner Amélie van Tass achieved first place in the "Mental Magic" category, making him the "World Champion of Mental Magic 2015". No first place had been awarded in this category for thirty years.

In the eleventh season of the NBC talent show America's Got Talent , they reached second place as The Clairvoyants (German translation Die Hellseher ) in 2016. At the end of 2016 they appeared as the first European magic duo on Broadway in New York City . Also in 2016 they appeared on the TV show The Next Great Magician on ITV . In February 2017 they started a tour through Austria, Germany and Switzerland. In August 2017 they could be seen at the Frequency Music Festival on the "LOL Stage".
