history

In 1996, a group of investors won the concession to operate the railway lines in the southern Brazilian states of Paraná , Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul . The Ferrovia Sul Atlântico was established December 13, 1996 and began operations in in 1997.

From December 1998, Ferrovia Sul Atlântico expanded its operations to São Paulo (federal state) by means of a cooperation with the Ferroban company . In August 1999, the company also won the concession for freight transport on the Argentine rail networks Ferrocarril General Urquiza and Ferrocarril General San Martín . This practically doubled the company's rail network. In order to have a name that is understandable in both countries, the company renamed itself América Latina Logística (ALL). In July 2001, Delara operations were also integrated into the company, which resulted in ALL becoming the largest rail logistics company in Latin America.

In 2006 the merger of ALL with Brasil Ferrovias and Ferrovia Novoeste SA was made possible through a share swap. In October 2008, a contract was signed with the paper manufacturer Votorantim Celulose e Papel (VCP), now Fibria , for a period of twenty years to transport cellulose from the Unidade Três Lagoas factory in Três Lagoas in Mato Grosso do Sul to Santos in the state Includes São Paulo . Operations started in April 2009.
