Amadeus II (Savoy)
Amadeus II. (* Around 1050; † January 26, 1080 ) was Count of Savoy and a son of Count Otto of Savoy and his wife Adelheid of Susa-Turin .
Life
Amadeus was strongly influenced by his mother Adelheid and was married to Johanna von Geneva. Several children sprang from this marriage:
- Humbert II (* around 1060; † 1103; called: "The Strong"), who became his successor
- Konstanze ∞ Otto , Bonifatius or Rainer Marquis von Montferrat
- Adelheid ∞ Manasse V of Coligny ( Coligny house )
- Auxilia ∞ Humbert II. Seigneur de Beaujeu
After the death of his brother Peter in 1078 he took over the reign of the House of Savoy for a short time .
