Amaka Ogoegbunam

Amaka Ogoegbunam (born March 3, 1990 ) is a Nigerian hurdler and sprinter .

At the World Athletics Championships in Berlin in 2009 , she reached the semifinals over 400 m and 400 m hurdles , but was subsequently disqualified because she tested positive for methenolone . This substance was also discovered in another doping test on July 31, 2009. She was banned for three years because of this doping rule violation .

In 2014 she was disqualified in the 400m hurdles at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the final and won silver at the African Athletics Championships in Marrakech . At the Athletics Continental Cup in Marrakech , she was seventh in the 100 m hurdles and sixth in the 400 m hurdles.

In 2015 she was eliminated from the 400 m hurdles at the World Cup in Beijing in the preliminary stages and won the Africa Games in Brazzaville .
