Amanda Jacqueline DaCosta (born October 7, 1989 ) is a former American - Portuguese soccer player .
Career
society
During her studies at the Florida State University DaCosta played 2007-2010 for the local university team in the Florida State Seminoles and ran parallel to it in 2009 for the W-League - Franchise of the Hudson Valley Quickstrike Lady Blues on. In 2011 she signed her first professional contract with WPS participant magicJack , for which she was only used in two league games. After the dissolution of the WPS immediately before the start of the 2012 season, DaCosta moved to the Boston Breakers in the newly created WPSL Elite and from there to the Liverpool LFC in England for the 2013 season . With this she won the English championship twice in a row in 2013 and 2014 .
For the 2015 season, DaCosta returned to the United States and signed with the Washington Spirit , from where she moved on to the Chicago Red Stars after a season . For the 2017 season she joined the Boston Breakers , where she met her coach from Liverpool, Matt Beard , again. DaCosta ended her active career in August 2017.
National team
DaCosta was temporarily in the (extended) squad of the US U-17 and U-23 national teams.
In November 2015 she was appointed to the squad of the Portuguese national team for the first time by national coach Francisco Neto and made her debut on December 1 in the European Championship qualifier against Spain .
