Amanda Dawn Felder Derkacs (born January 16, 1982 in Houston ) is an American professional triathlete .

Career

Triathlon professional since 2005

Felder began her triathlon career in 2005 when she took part in and won the American University Triathlon Championship (USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championship) . In 2008 she was able to repeat this success.

She has been a professional athlete since 2005.

Amanda Felder also competes in the middle distance at Ironman 70.3 events (1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running):
At Ironman 70.3 Miami , for example, she finished seventh in October 2010 and the following year she was able to look forward to the improve fifth rank.

She participated in the USA Triathlon Project 2016 .

Private

Amanda Felder first studied at Rice University and in March 2010 she completed a Ph.D. in bioengineering from UCL (University of California) in San Diego. Felder lives in Cupertino today .
