Amapola - Feast of July (Original title: Amapola ) is the first feature film from director Eugenio Zanetti from the year 2014. The story of the actress Ama is told against the background of the decisive events of the military coup in Argentina in 1962 and the war for the Falkland Islands in 1982. Through magic she has the ability to travel through time. When the Argentine dictator Onganía comes to power in 1966, she meets her future lover Luke. In the future, however, she learns what a sad fate she and her family have suffered after the outbreak of the Falklands crisis. Back in the present, she tries everything to avert impending events from them. She not only fights against the destruction of her country, but also to find her true love again. She is supported by her grandmother Meme and the mysterious Monsieur Samirof.

The film service said that the film ends - "oscillating between kitsch and dream, magical realism and historical epic" - in the statement that "fate can be changed". In addition, he “knows very little what to do with the social contexts”.
Awards
