The Ambalada Peak is a 2160 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Prince Albert Mountains it rises 3 km southeast of the Griffin Nunatak .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1956 and 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after Cesar N. Ambalada, an electrician at the South Pole Station in the winter of 1966.
