Ambarikorano or Ambariokorano is a city and a municipality in the north of the African island of Madagascar . It belongs to the Mandritsara district , which is part of the Sofia region in the (old) province of Mahajanga (Majunga).
In 2001, the city, which is located at an altitude of 356 m, had 9,000 inhabitants.
