Norbert Zafimahova
Norbert Zafimahova (born October 28, 1913 in Ambarikorano ; † April 3, 1974 ) was a Malagasy politician and State Secretary.
Life
From 1948 to 1958 he was Senator for Madagascar in the French Senate of the IV Republic . In 1956 he founded the UDSM (Union des Démocrates Sociaux de Madagascar) and ran for president of the National Assembly (Madagascar) in 1959 (1958-1960) unsuccessfully against Philibert Tsiranana for the office of president.
During the dispute over the political reforms and the reintroduction of the Fokon'olona, he crashed on July 3, 1974 in an airplane in which Hannes Kamphausen (* 1936, † 1974), an advisor to the left-wing interior minister Ratsimandrava , was originally supposed to fly.
