Amir Karaoui (born August 3, 1987 in Amnéville ) is a French - Algerian football player .

Career

society

Amir Karaoui began his career in the lower French amateur leagues. In December 2007 he moved to Algeria, where he first played in the U-21 team of the then second division club MC El Eulma . After only half a year he made the leap into the professional team, which was just about to celebrate promotion to the first division and played his first games in the first Algerian division . For the 2011/12 season he moved to the Algerian top club ES Sétif , where he was active until spring 2014.

At the beginning of July 2014, at the request of the trainer Claude Makélélé, he completed a trial training session lasting several days at the French first division club SC Bastia , which however did not result in an obligation. Karaoui soon joined the Algerian capital club MC Algiers , where he won the national cup in 2016. In 2018 he finally returned to ES Sétif .

National team

Karaoui played his only international match for the Algerian national team on September 10, 2013 , when he came on as a substitute in the 63rd minute of the World Cup qualifier against Mali . On May 12, 2014, he was one of eight players from the Algerian league who were appointed to the provisional squad for the 2014 World Cup by national coach Vahid Halilhodžić . However, he was not considered for the final squad.
