The Amiral Ronarc'h class , also known as the Frégate de Défense et d'Intervention (FDI) , is a planned class of seven frigates , five of the French and two of the Greek Navy .

General

The Amiral Ronarc'h class, which will have a displacement of 4,500 tons, are to replace the frigates of the La Fayette class in service from 2025. The ceremonial first steel cut for the first unit took place on October 24, 2019 in the shipyard in Lorient , which belongs to the Naval Group .
