The Ammerån is a left tributary of the Indalsälven in Jämtlands län in Sweden . The two source rivers Storån and Öjån feed Lake Hammerdalssjön . The Ammerån leaves the lake at Hammerdal at an altitude of 302 meters at its southern end. After that it always flows in a south-easterly direction and flows into the Indalsälven after a stretch of about 70 km west of Hammarstrand .
