The Amos Glacier is a glacier in East Antarctica, Victoria Land . It flows from Bettle Peak in a southeast direction to Blue Glacier , which it reaches southeast of Hannon Hill .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1992 after Larry Leon Amos, civil engineer of the United States Geological Survey , who was involved between 1969 and 1970 in determining the position of the geographic South Pole , which was last carried out in 1956 .
