Amphoe Don Tum ( Thai : อำเภอ ดอนตูม , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː dɔ̄ːn tūːm ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) of the province ( Changwat ) Nakhon Pathom . The Nakhon Pathom Province is located in the middle of the central region of Thailand .

etymology

"Don" and "Tum" are the Thai names for a "elevated place that is not exposed to flooding", a sign that this problem has not occurred even in the past.

geography

The neighboring Amphoe are clockwise from the north: Bang Len , Nakhon Chai Si , Mueang Nakhon Pathom, and Kamphaeng Saen . All counties are in Nakhon Pathom Province.

history

Müang Tum was a city during the Srivijaya kingdom. The first official name of the district was initially Sam Kaeo, later it was named Kamphaeng Saen.

Don Tum County was established on January 1, 1966, initially as a "Branch County" ( King Amphoe ) , by separating seven tambon from Kamphaeng Saen Amphoe. On March 12, 1969, he got full amphoe status.

  • Don Ruak (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ดอน รวก ) consisting of the complete tambon Don Ruak.
