Amphoe Kamphaeng Saen ( Thai : อำเภอ กำแพงแสน , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː kām.pʰɛ̄ːŋ sɛ̌ːn ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the northwest of the province of Nakhon Pathom . The Nakhon Pathom Province is located in the middle of the central region of Thailand .
geography
Neighboring districts are made clockwise from north Amphoe Song Phi Nong of Suphan Buri Province , Amphoe Bang Len , Don Tum and Mueang Nakhon Pathom Province Nakhon Pathom, Amphoe Ban Pong of Ratchaburi Province and Amphoe Tha Maka of Kanchanaburi province .
history
Kamphaeng Saen was a city of the Dvaravati period. The ruins of Chedis , Wihan and fragments of pottery were found in the area of the old city.
