Amsham lives mainly from agriculture and forestry. In addition to grain (e.g. wheat , barley ) and rapeseed , maize is also mainly grown , which thrives here very well and is fed to the pigs and cattle. In Amsham there are two fattening farms for pigs with approx. 2500 pigs each, there are also two cattle farmers with 50 cattle each and an organic farmer who also keeps cattle.
Attractions
The newly restored chapel in the center of the village was built in 1991 and renovated in 2012. Every year there is a May service and a rosary for the deceased Amsham residents. Furthermore, the Bruder-Konrad-Hof is very close by, where every year on May 1st, pilgrims from the surrounding communities make a pilgrimage to the Brother Konrad Festival.
