Ramón del Hoyo López (born September 4, 1940 in Arlanzón ) is a Spanish clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Jaén .

Life

Ramón del Hoyo López was ordained a priest on September 5, 1965 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Cuenca on June 26, 1996 . The Apostolic Nuncio in Spain and Andorra , Archbishop Lajos Kada , donated him episcopal ordination on September 15 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Francisco Álvarez Martínez , Archbishop of Toledo , and José Guerra Campos , Former Bishop of Cuenca. As a motto he chose In nomine Tuo .

He was appointed Bishop of Jaén on May 19, 2005, and was introduced to the office on July 2 of the same year.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on April 9, 2016.
