Office Seebergen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Seebergen office was a judicial and administrative district in the Schwarzburg-Rudolstädter Oberherrschaft with its seat in Seebergen .

tasks

The Counts of Schwarzburg exercised the bailiwick over the Ilm Monastery . After the secularization of the monastery in 1540, the Schwarzenburg counts assigned the area (consisting of seamounts) to the Stadtilm office . In 1655 the area was raised because of the spatial distance to its own office , with certain rights remaining with the Ilm office. From 1540 it belonged to Schwarzburg-Blankenburg and from 1574 to Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt.

The Koenitz office was the court of first instance and at the same time the lower administrative authority. There was no separation of jurisdiction from administration .

In 1825, the Seebergen office was ceded to Sachsen-Gotha-Altenburg and incorporated into the Gotha office.
