Ichstedt court

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ichstedt court was a judicial and administrative district in the Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt subordinate rule with its seat in Ichstedt .

In 1377 the Counts of Schwarzhausen acquired the Ichstedt court from the Counts of Beichlingen. It was a Wettin fiefdom, with the Albertine line since 1485. In 1815 the feudal rule passed to Prussia and was replaced in 1819.

In 1377 the court was initially owned by the Schwarzburg-Blankenburg line. In 1574 it fell to Schwarzburg-Frankenhausen and in 1599 to Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt.

Until 1768 the Schwarzenburg counts gave the court as a fief to various noble families who set up patrimonial courts . In 1768 the court rights were reacquired and the court was administered from Frankenhausen. In 1825 the court was formally assigned to the Office of Frankenhausen .

The court consisted of the places Ichstedt and Borxleben .
