Steinbach Office (Baden)

The Steinbach office was an office in Baden from at least the 15th century, with interruptions until 1819 .

history

When exactly the Steinbach office was established is unclear. The official seat of Steinbach had belonged to Baden since at least 1258; the official building there was first mentioned in 1452. The office was dissolved for the first time in 1788 and the offices of Bühl and Stollhofen were added to the newly established Yberg office . In 1807 (until 1809) and 1813 it was re-established as a sovereign office until it was finally dissolved in 1819.

At the end of the 18th century, the Steinbach office consisted of the Sinzheim and Steinbach staffs and the village of Leiberstung . The Sinzheim staff comprised the places Halberstung , Kartung , Müllhofen , Schiftung , Sinzheim , Vormberg and Winden . The Steinbach staff consisted of Affental , Eisental , Etzenhofen , Gallenbach , Müllenbach , Neuweier , Schneckenbach , Steinbach , Detour , Varnhalt , Weitenung and Witstung .
