Neckargemünd District Court

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The district court Neckargemünd was from 1857 to 1872 in the grand-ducal-Baden district court with seat in Neckargemünd . The higher court was initially the Mannheim court and from 1864 the Heidelberg district court .

The district office Neckargemuend had since its inception both the function of an administrative authority and that of the Court of First Instance. In 1857 the administration and administration of justice at the lower level were separated from each other. The district offices were purely administrative units, the jurisdiction was taken over by local courts. While the Neckargemünd district office was dissolved and Ebersbach was slammed against the protest from the population, Neckargemünd received a district court that was housed in the town hall. Carl Thilo was the director of the Neckargemünder Amtsgericht from 1857 to 1872.

The Neckargemünder court was initially one of 19 district courts in the Lower Rhine district of Baden . In the grand ducal era it was manned by a magistrate, a registrar, an actuary, two decopists, a prison guard and two bailiffs. The city dungeon at the upper city gate was used as the official prison. The court district comprised the 15 communities Neckargemünd, Bammental , Dilsberg , Gaiberg , Gauangelloch , Lobenfeld , Mauer , Meckesheim , Mönchzell , Mückenloch , Ochsenbach , Spechbach , Waldhilsbach , Waldwimmersbach and Wiesenbach .

The Neckargemünd district court that was created in this way was repealed in 1872. The court district was assigned to the district court of Heidelberg . The chief magistrate Ludwig von Braun from Neckargemünd was transferred to the Tauberbischofsheim district court . The notary's office was also relocated to Heidelberg in 1972.
