An der See is an American comedy film from 1915 directed by and with Charlie Chaplin .
action
The short film mainly makes fun of sexual rivalry between men. He also smiles at the habit of attaching the stiff hat ( bowler ) to the lapel with a small chain. On the windy beach where he lingers, this is an almost impossible task for the tramp (Charlie Chaplin). In addition, there is also a pretty woman with her husband who has similar problems. You and your husband want to take a break on a park bench by the lake. And Charlie takes every opportunity to get closer to the beautiful while her husband runs after his bowler. But only until the wind pulls the tramp away again. And so it goes back and forth until the two men, and soon a third, get into a tangible exchange of blows.
