Ana Sofia Lopes Malhoa (born August 6, 1979 in São Sebastião da Pedreira , Lisbon , Portugal ) is a Portuguese singer, composer and producer.

Life

Ana Malhoa is the daughter of the famous Portuguese singer José Malhoa and Angelina Lopes. Her mother died when she was four months old and she was raised by her stepmother, Rosa Malhoa. When she was 12 years old, she realized that Rosa was not her birth mother.

She started her career in 1985 when she was six years old. In 1988 she was first seen in the program "O Grande Pagode" of the public television station Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP). Since then she has appeared in around 50 TV productions.

In 1992 she released her first album "I'm happy", which soon reached gold status . In the same year she published another album Dois Corações with her father , which also became a gold record. In total, it sold more than 630,000 copies.

In 1998 she married Jorge Moreira, and in 1999 the couple had their daughter India, who is also a singer today.

In 2009 Ana Malhoa posed for the Portuguese edition of Playboy magazine .

In 2016 it became known that she was divorced from her husband Jorge Moreira.
