Ana Matilde Aybar

Ana Matilde "La Tuca" Aybar (* 1935 or 1936; † October 2, 2010 ) was an Argentine engraver and graphic artist .

biography

Ana Maria Aybar, who worked under her stage name "La Tuca", studied copperplate engraving and graphics at Pompeyo Audivert and was praised and awarded several national and international prizes for her numerous works by art critics such as Rafael Squirru , Ernesto Ramallo , César Magrini and Romualdo Brughetti .

In addition to her own artistic activity, she was adjunct professor and head of the department for graphics and engraving at the faculty of art at the Universidad Nacional de Tucumán (UNT) for thirty years . In addition, she undertook numerous research and study trips to Europe and the United States and exhibited her work in more than 300 local, national and international solo and group exhibitions.
