Anaka Alankamony (born July 10, 1994 in Chennai ) is an Indian squash player .

Career

Anaka Alankamony played on the PSA World Tour from 2009 , on which she has won two tournaments so far. She won her first tournament in 2009 at the age of 15. She reached her highest position in the world rankings with rank 59 in June 2010. Her greatest success in the juniors was in 2012 when she won the Asian Cup. With the Indian national team , she took part in the World Cup in 2010 , 2012 and 2014 . In addition, she was part of the Indian squad at the Commonwealth Games in 2010 and 2014 . At the Asian Games she won bronze with the team in 2010 and silver in 2014 . In 2014 she received the Arjuna Award .

She studied at the University of Pennsylvania , for which she was also active in college squash.
