Anandapur (also Anandpur ) is a city in the Indian state of Odisha .

The town on the Baitarani River is 85 km north of Cuttack at the foot of the Eastern Ghats . The city belongs to the Kendujhar district .

A road bridge connects the two river banks. The national highway NH 215 ( Byasanagar - Kendujhar ) runs west of Anandapur. Anandapur is connected by a main road to Bhadrak , 40 km to the east .

The city with the status of a municipality had 39,585 inhabitants at the 2011 census.
