Anas Sharbini (born February 21, 1987 in Rijeka , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian football player . He is currently under contract with HNK Rijeka . In the 2012/13 season he played on loan with the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad .

Career

Sharbini, the son of a Palestinian and a Croatian , began his career in the youth team of his home club HNK Rijeka. Since 2005 Anas Sharbini played for the first team from HNK Rijeka in the Croatian 1st HNL league. In summer 2009 he moved to HNK Hajduk Split . In 2012 he was voted the best player in the Croatian league .

In 2012 he switched to the Saudi Arabian association Al-Ittihad on loan .

Since 2013 back in NK Rijeka.

National team

Sharbiani has played a total of 29 games (10 goals) for Croatian youth national teams. The Croatian national coach Slaven Bilić called him on call for the Euro 2008 , but there was no subsequent nomination. He made his international debut on October 8, 2009 in a friendly against Qatar .

Private

Sharbini's brother, Ahmad , is also a soccer player and played together with Anas at Hajduk Split from 2009 to 2012 .
