Anastasia Masaro

Anastasia Masaro (born November 12, 1974 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a Canadian production designer and art director .

Life

Masaro began her career in film crew in 1997, was one of her first work of Canadian science fiction - horror movie Cube . She also worked for television in the following years, including the television series Raven , the miniseries The Company - Commissioned by the CIA and several television films. In 2005 she first worked with Terry Gilliam for his fantasy film Tideland . For their second collaboration with Terry Gilliam, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus , she was together with David Warren and Caroline Smith in 2010 for an Oscar in the category Best Art Direction and the BAFTA Film Award in the category Design Best nominated. Masaro was also nominated twice for the “Excellence in Production Design Award” from the Art Directors Guild .
