Anatoly Kotscherga ( Ukrainian Анатолій Іванович Кочерга / Anatolij Iwanowytsch Kotscherha ; born July 9, 1947 in Samhorodok , Vinnytsia Oblast , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian opera singer with a bass voice .

Live and act

Kocherga studied at the National Music Academy of Ukraine Peter Tchaikovsky . He became internationally known through his portrayal of Shaklowity in Khovanshchina by Modest Mussorgsky at the Vienna State Opera . Anatoli Kotscherga is a guest on all major opera and concert stages, u. a. in Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Lisbon, Milan, Paris, San Francisco, Seville, Toulouse and at the Bregenz and Salzburg festivals . He is also a soloist at the Bavarian State Opera .
