Lietuvos badmintono federacija
The Lietuvos badmintono federacija is the supreme national administrative organization in the sport of badminton in Lithuania . The association was founded in 1962 as the Association of the Soviet Republic.
history
After the collapse of the Soviet Union , the association became a member of the Badminton World Federation , then known as the International Badminton Federation , and in the continental umbrella organization Badminton Europe , at that time still operating as the European Badminton Union . In 1963 the national championships started as championships of the Soviet Republic, in 1992 the international championships .
