Suomen Sulkapalloliitto
The Suomen Sulkapalloliitto or Badminton Finland is the highest national administrative organization in the sport of badminton in Finland .
history
The history of the sport in Finland goes back to the 1940s. In 1944, the Helsingfors Badminton Club (HBC) was the first badminton club to be founded. Suomen Sulkapalloliitto was founded in 1954 and shortly afterwards also a member of the world association IBF . In 1967 the association was one of the eleven founding members of Badminton Europe , at that time still operating under the name of the European Badminton Union.
