Magyar Tollaslabda Szövetség
Magyar Tollaslabda Szövetség is the highest national administrative organization in the sport of badminton in Hungary . The association was founded in 1969 .
history
Although the first national badminton championships were held in Hungary as early as 1960, a national umbrella organization was not founded until 1969. Before that, a joint association of badminton and tennis had existed since June 3, 1966. An independent association was launched on June 1, 1969 . As a result, the association became a member of the Badminton World Federation , then known as the International Badminton Federation , in June 1970 , and in 1973 a member of the European Badminton Union .
