Český badmintonový svaz
The Český badmintonový svaz ( ČBaS ) is the highest national administrative organization in the badminton sport in the Czech Republic . The association was founded on January 1st, 1993 .
history
The association is the legal successor to the Československý Badmintonový Svaz . When the association was founded, it became a member of the Badminton World Federation , then still known as the International Badminton Federation , and of the continental umbrella organization Badminton Europe , still operating under the European Badminton Union in 1993 . In 1993 both the Czech International and the Czech National Championships took place for the first time.

- 1958 - The first official tournament is the Prague Championships from January 26th to 27th in the TJ Dynamo Žižkov hall
- 1961 - first unofficial championships of the ČSSR
- 1964 - Admission to the world association

- 1971 - The Junior European Championship takes place in what was then Gottwaldov
- 1993 - the Český badmintonový svaz takes over the duties of the Československý badmintonový svaz
- 1996 - Qualification for the Thomas and Uber Cup takes place in Prague
- 2005 - the Polonia Cup takes place in Brno

- 1970 - Petr Lacina finished fifth at the European Championships
- 1973 - the ČSSR wins the Helvetia Cup
- 1975 - Michal Malý finished fifth at the European Championship
- 1992 - Tomasz Mendrek and Eva Lacinová take part in the Olympics
- 1997 - the Czech juniors take second place in the Polonia Cup
- 1998 - Jan Fröhlich finished ninth in the Junior World Championship
- 2005 - Pavla Janošová and Kristína Ludíková win bronze at the European Junior Championship
- 2007 - Kristína Ludíková becomes Junior European Champion
- 2008 - Petr Koukal and Kristína Ludíková take part in the Olympics
- 2009 - Petr Koukal wins Czech International
