The Badminton Association Íslands (BSI for short, German  Badminton Association of Iceland ) is the highest national administrative organization in the sport of badminton in Iceland , based in Reykjavík . The association was founded on November 5th, 1967.

history

Although the first national badminton championships were held in Iceland in 1949, it was not until 1967 that a national umbrella organization was founded. In July 1968 the association became a member of the Badminton World Federation , then known as the International Badminton Federation , and in 1978 a member of the European Badminton Union .
