The Norges Badminton Forbund (NBF) is the highest national administrative organization in the sport of badminton in Norway . The association was founded on October 24, 1938.

history

Shortly after its establishment, the association became a member of the Badminton World Federation , then known as the International Badminton Federation . He was one of the first 20 members of the world association. In 1967 the association was one of the founding members of the continental umbrella organization Badminton Europe , which at the time was still operating as the European Badminton Union . In addition, the NBF is one of 54 sports associations of the Norges idrettsforbund and olympiske and paralympiske komité .

The national championships began in 1939, the junior championships in 1951 , the Norwegian International in 1954 and the team championships in 1955
